12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Resilience is the ability to cope with stress and adversity, and to bounce back from challenges and setbacks. Through several activities, we will explore how this is important for you, as you face many academic, social, and personal demands that can affect your well-being and success. Grab your lunch and join us virtually to spend some time taking care of YOU!
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer - the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
Join this training hosted by CAPS clinicians to learn more about how you can be a resource to those contemplating suicide. Participants will receive a one year certification as a trained QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Social anxiety can make it difficult to manage the everyday aspects of being a student, such as making new friends and attending classes. We'll talk about how taking small steps to approach anxiety-provoking situations can lead to big rewards. Feel free to enjoy your lunch during this virtual workshop!
