The second Queerness in Color on February 20, will explore what it means to be a Black woman and how we associate femininity with Blackness, gender, and sexuality. Within that, we will discuss how Black women of varied experiences - cis, trans, straight, lesbian, and more - "perform" femininity.

"Queerness in Color" is a monthly series held by the Center of Gender and Sexuality (CGS) and the Intercultural Center (ICC) where queer people of color are centered and allowed space to authentically be themselves and have conversations relating to them. And while the conversation may be geared towards people of color everyone is encouraged to come as this can be an opportunity to widen your perspectives and respectfully learn from your peers.
