Mission The University of Michigan-Flint Student Government is a diverse group of individuals committed to empowering the student body through advocacy, policy change, and programming in the student's best interests, needs, and welfare.The Government's devoted team of student leaders strives to provide a positive environment that encourages academic and personal growth among their peers through communal activities. The Council places an emphasis on building strong student leaders, respecting shared campus settings, and role-modeling responsibility within the university community. Serving as a liaison between the students and faculty, staff, alumni, and administration; the Council continues to help the university grow and move forward with a student-minded perspective.The Student Government deeply believes in and is dedicated to the quality of student life at the University of Michigan-Flint. Diligently serving with integrity, honor, and enthusiasm while always being aware of our university's proud tradition of academic excellence. We advocate for all of our constituents with respect to individual differences which may include but are not limited to age, cultural background, disability, ethnicity, family status, gender presentation, immigration status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and veteran status.
