Health Sciences (BS)
The mission of the B.S. in Health Science is to provide a strong foundation in the health and human sciences for students intending to pursue professional graduate studies in physical therapy and other professional health science programs. The combined program components in basic science and health science will enable students to become effective and productive health professionals who value the diversity of the various communities in which they work and serve.

The Radiation Therapy program offers a relevant and respected education providing high quality clinical and didactic experiences. This rewarding radiation therapy education is a cornerstone to advancing quality compassionate cancer care.
Respiratory Therapy (BS)
The mission of the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy (BSRT) Program is to provide graduates of entry level respiratory care professional practice degree programs with additional knowledge, skills, and attributes in leadership, management, education, research, and advanced clinical practice both to meet their current professional goals and to prepare them for practice as advanced degree respiratory therapists.

Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia
The mission of the Nurse Anesthesia Program is to ensure our graduates have the knowledge and skills required to provide high quality anesthetic care and are prepared to enter expanded and specialized leadership roles within the complex field of health care. Staff Assembly was formed following a task force study in 1990. Staff Assembly consists of two groups:
-Staff Assembly (all staff members of UM-Flint)
-Staff Council (elected UM-Flint staff)
The Staff Assembly and the Staff Council stimulate and maintain a spirit of unity and open communication between the university support personnel and the administration of the University of Michigan-Flint.

Our Charter establishes the guidelines for procedures under which these bodies will function.

Goals
-Provide open communication with the campus between staff and administration.
-Be the voice to the Administration for channeling concerns by suggesting proposals and solutions with input from the Staff Assembly.
The Staff Council strives to involve staff in order to stimulate and maintain a spirit of unity as colleagues in all departments within our campus community.

The key aims are to: emphasize the centrality of reading to higher education and to a full and enriched life; facilitate conversations and relationships that can grow from a shared reading experience; and integrate the campus into national and global discussions and cultures.

A Common Read is a project using a common text read by students, faculty, staff to form the basis for a community of inquiry and discussion. It uses a particular text to stimulate intellectual engagement and community-building. The Common Read at UM-Flint is directed towards the entire campus community. The project makes intellectual and cultural resources available to the community beyond the campus and presents an opportunity to attract high school students to campus. Our committee is made up of faculty and staff from across the university.
