Take a tour and learn about the eco-village, Avalon Village! Then eat dinner and explore the Eastern Market.

How do we make our communities more sustainable? Tour eco-village, Avalon Village, for a practical example. The community prioritizes leadership, specifically in their youth, through summer camps and the Homework House. They’ve labeled themselves the prototype in converting blighted land into a useful resource, also distributing aid to those in crisis in Highland Park.

After the tour, eat dinner at the Eastern Market! The market has become a hub for food, culture, and the local community. These restaurants are known to make dishes with the produce from the farm stands, showing how even in urban settings fresh and locally sourced food items can be used.

This is a full-day event, and you must be available for all of it! Spots are limited, so register now!
Food Provided (Light refreshments are provided during transport to and from the event. Food will be provided from select restaurants within the Eastern Market.)
