As part of Homecoming Week, help bring back a fun UM-Flint tradition - a campus-wide Tug-of-War match up!

Started by the freshmen-sophomore classes in the 1960s, tug-of-war used to take place over Gilkey Creek, located adjacent to the Mott Memorial Building, the original location of UM-Flint. Holding the match up over the creek added drama to the event, as the losing team fell into the water. In addition to avoiding the mud and water, the winning team received a trophy that consisted of a hand-painted jug with the U-M logo on it.

This is a great way to bring students, faculty & staff together and have fun! **Team registration opens August 15.**

Drop in anytime between 12-5pm at the Esports Lab in Riverfront to play a variety of games. Titles include: Rocket League, Valorant, Fortnight, Overwatch 2, League of Legends, and more. You can also play Super Smash Bros on the Switch!

Staff will be on hand to help show you around the lab, and tell you how you can get involved in esports.

You can also learn about all the different recreation opportunities on campus, including: club sports, esports, intramural sports, group fitness classes

Start by getting a map from the CAB table at the Chancelor’s BBQ, Student Loft, or Ask Me stations! Take a Selfie at each location! Turn in your selfies at the first CAB meeting for a prize! The first CAB meeting will be Monday 9/16 5:30-6:30 in the Loft!
