ICC Winter 2026 - Educational Excursion

For this semester's Educational Excursion, we'll be heading to the Detroit Historical Museum! Join the ICC staff and other students on Friday, April 17th, from 10 A.M. - 3:45 P.M. to learn more about Detroit's History.

As spots are limited, please do not reserve a ticket if you can not guarantee attendance!

The "Detroit 67: Perspectives Facilitated Experience" guided tour we'll be going on is a dialogue-based tour of the Detroit 67: Perspectives exhibit, where we'll discuss the summer of 1967 to analyze and discuss social themes of the 60s to today.


Schedule for the day:
10:00 AM: Bus leaves UM-Flint
11:15 AM: Bus arrives at Detroit Historical Museum
11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Check-in and guided tour
Tour: "Detroit 67: Perspectives Facilitated Experience"
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM: Self-guided Museum Exploration
1:00 – 2:30 PM: Lunch (Free)
2:35 PM: Bus leaves Detroit
3:30 - 3:45 PM: Bus arrives back in Flint
