Join us for a night at the Purple Rose, for a performance of The Classic King. A brand-new work by Richard Johnson directed by Jeff Daniels — digs into relatable themes: identity, changing times, and what it means to keep going even when everything around you is shifting. It’s drama, comedy, and a real look at what life can be.

Right after the performance, we will have an exclusive talk-back session with the people who brought the production to life. It’s your chance to ask questions, learn about the creative process, and hear firsthand what it took to make the show happen.

Transportation will be provided for this event. Students should plan to meet in front of UCEN along Circle Drive at 5:45pm. From there, we will have a bus taking us to the theater.

Additional information will be sent as we get closer to the event. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Hope Hairston (hopehair@umich.edu).

This is a sponsored event through UM-Flint’s Art Access Program, which is designed to increase student access to arts and cultural experiences in our community. Tickets and transportation (if applicable) are provided at no cost to UM-Flint students. Limit 1 ticket per student.
